PART3
Alison – I write the total travel and subtract the 20 miles. Then I record the amount for the additional mileage that I can claim, if that makes sense – Fatima • Tue, 18:49I see one client Joanne and it is 6 miles there and 6 miles back so I don’t think you can claim for anything less than 20 as you have to deduct it. I don’t really think this is fair as it all adds up plus wear and tear on your car – Rachel Coulter • Tue, 18:50
So I do 14 + 14 – 20 and only put the 8 miles down. – Joanne • Tue, 18:50
yep joanne
My other school is only 3 miles away, I could walk if it wasn’t such a big hill! I probably will have to walk if it snows. Rural.
Thanks Helen – Joanne • Tue, 18:51
Rachel, the HMRC consider that you would travel and average of 20 miles to/from work each day which is why we have to deduct the 20 mile allowance. It’ s quite common practice. My husband has to do this too. – Alison • Tue, 18:51
shayma you would fill out a cir form for the report you have completed are the family aware of the cost?
I also work for the Stroke Association and they do not deduct any mileage off, you just get everything that you work – Rachel Coulter • Tue, 18:52
I suppose I only used to claim for trave through NHS once I got to work so I’m used to that. 70 mile return journey!- Joanne • Tue, 18:52
my last thing before signing off and starting the NQP sessions can we please look after the assessments we have out with therapists and be mindful that other therapists may also need them too. A pre school celf has arrived and been posted out to Lynn we need to be careful we don’t loose these as they are very expensive
70 miles Joanne! That would nearly take you to the other end of Northern Ireland lol.
Helen do you know if there is a hard copy of the older celf or do you just have to print what’s on the drive? – Rachel Coulter • Tue, 18:54 –
I think the pre-school CELF costs £650 – Alison • Tue, 18:54
It was ridiculous mileage. I did it for 6 years. – Joanne • Tue, 18:54
there must be a hard copy somewhere as its scanned in i will send an email later
Ok thanks – Rachel Coulter • Tue, 18:55
Wow, Jo that’s dedication! – Alison • Tue, 18:55
I don’t know whether the client is aware of the cost, but it’s the same client, so maybe this report was not charged for, but should I not still be paid for this?- Shayma • Tue, 18:55
Are we ok using copied assessment forms? I know someone who got into trouble with HCPC for this. – Joanne • Tue, 18:55
It would be useful if the manuals were online too especially to get the st scores etc – Shayma • Tue, 18:56
I will clarify with sarah JO so we all know whether it is ok
It’s a wonder these days you can’t just buy an online form and then you don’t need to worry about reordering new forms. – Rachel Coulter • Tue, 18:57
Thanks, that would be great. I’ve printed off ACE and forms already as I needed something. – Joanne • Tue, 18:57
As NQP’s if there is an assessment that we have never used before, reading the manual is important, and that’s one thing that doesn’t seem to be on resources section- Shayma • Tue, 18:57
I couldn’t get the non-literal subtest off the drive, from the ACE. – Joanne • Tue, 18:57
I agree Shayma – Stavroulla • Tue, 18:57
thank you for bearing with me and having to get back to you on things i don’t know straight away anna is working her socks off too x x
Yes, I would like the manuals in the resource section as well. – Lynn • Tue, 18:58
your both doing a great jop 🙂 – Stephanie • Tue, 18:58
The scanned documents of assessments that are online e.g. Like the celf and rapt score sheets – do those count as photocopied documents? Because thats what I’ve been using!! – Fatima • Tue, 18:59
ok so there are a number of things i need to clarify which i will do so in the friday round up so make sure that you read the Friday round up
Thank you, Anna has been great. – Joanne • Tue, 18:59

Case notes questions
I haven’t received links for digital case notes for my settings – Stavroulla • Tue, 18:13
Im struggling because my therapy session records are not in the same place as my files and I cant copy them into the place i want – Margaret • Tue, 18:15
Question about the continuation sheet. Do we scan and copy and paste the original assessment to the Cont note? – Lynn • Tue, 18:18
Margaret are you talking about documents in your drive already or those shared with you – if so you can move them to your drive by right clicking the doc and selecting add to my drive – Fatima • Tue, 18:18
Rachel, Anna told me today that she would send me some “how to notes” that Lisa put together. I’m sure she would send you some too. – Alison • Tue, 18:25HD to discuss all with anna and sarah
Resource section/assessments
lots of error code 404 getting stuff off drive. Anna has been emailing me links which has been helpful. I wasn’t sure about downloading assessments onto my laptop as my computer gave me a message about accessing the drive which made me worry about security so I just printed off the ACE. – Joanne • Tue, 18:26
Can we use scanned record sheets?
Mannuals need putting on the hard drive
Need to check BPVS as some pages missing
HD to discuss with sarah and anna
Reports
Can these be emailed over is it secure to do this?
Which emails need to be submitted to HD all or just some?
Need to check report formats are on googledrive.
